What to fix first, and why

River's Edge has no Google Business Profile — and that single gap explains the map absence. Most local tree service searches end on the map pack, not the web results below it; without a profile, the business simply doesn't exist in that space, regardless of what the site does well. The homepage does appear in web results on at least one tracked search, which shows the domain has some standing with Google, but web results alone don't capture the majority of local clicks. The site also lacks structured data, so Google is guessing at the name, address, and services rather than reading them directly — which pushes trust toward the listings it's certain about. Start here: claim or create a Google Business Profile at business.google.com and complete verification by postcard or phone.

What to Fix, in Order

Most costly first. Every fix is written out in full.

Fix first2

  1. No Google Business Profile found.

The fix: Claim or create a Google Business Profile at business.google.com. Verify by postcard or phone.

Why it matters · for your developer

Without a profile there's no map listing, and most local searches end on the map. This is the biggest single gap a local business can have.

Google Business Profile. No Google Business Profile found: Without a GBP, the business cannot appear in the local pack — the single biggest local-SEO miss.

  2. The homepage has no structured data.

The fix: Add a LocalBusiness JSON-LD block with NAP (name, address, phone), opening hours, and primary category.

Why it matters · for your developer

Structured data states the name, address and services in a form Google reads directly. Without it, Google infers them, and it trusts the listings it's sure about.

Business info for Google. No structured data (JSON-LD) on page: Google relies on structured data to understand local business information.

When there's time2

  1. The page title is 139 characters, more than search results show.

The fix: Rewrite the page title to land between 30 and 65 characters with the primary keyword and location.

Why it matters · for your developer

Past about 65 characters, Google cuts the title off in results. A clear title of 30 to 65 characters earns the click.

Page basics. Title tag is too long (139 chars): Titles should be 30–65 characters to display fully in search results.

Show the other 1 fix

When there's timecontinued

  1. No canonical tag on the homepage.

    The fix: Add <link rel='canonical' href='<page url>'> in the page <head>.

Why it matters · for your developer

Tracking links and duplicate URLs can split a page's ranking credit. A canonical tag keeps it on one page.

Page basics. No canonical tag: Self-referential canonical tags prevent duplicate content issues from tracking parameters.
