What to Fix, in Order

Most costly first. Every fix is written out in full.

Fix first1

  1. The site is slow on a phone.

The fix: Compress images, defer non-critical JS, and serve from a CDN. Focus on Largest Contentful Paint.

Why it matters · for your developer

Most local searches happen on phones. A slow load loses visitors before the page appears.

Speed & Google checklist. Slow mobile performance: Mobile performance score is 14/100. Google uses mobile speed as a ranking factor.

When there's time1

  1. The site and its Google Business Profile list a different phone.

The fix: Make the schema's phone match the Google Business Profile exactly, or correct the profile if the site is right.

Why it matters · for your developer

Google trusts a business more when its name, address and phone match everywhere. Two versions give it a reason to doubt both.

Business info for Google. Schema phone differs from the Google Business Profile: The site's LocalBusiness schema and its Google Business Profile disagree on the phone (schema: +15092862296; profile: (509) 844-1244). Google trusts a business more when its name, address and phone match everywhere.
